Predictably, mainstream corporate bulldog GOOGLE has censored a Maoist video by MIM the Maoist Internationalist Movement This comes as no surprise. The video is still available on video.yahoo.com
Corporate censorship comes as no surprise. Whenever the capitalists do this our response is simple: We put our stuff on their competitors bandwidth, sending them the traffic and ads. What effect will this action have on the price of google on the stock market?
The Bin Laden video was top rated on key word searches for Bin Laden Immortal Technique and Mos Def Bin Laden. It garnered a total of 2894 hits and had 15 raters give it on average 5 stars -- the best rating possible. As far as the Art Ministry knows Mos Def and Immortal Technique have not complained about this. The Art Ministry is sending the musicians a complimentary copy of the video and is more than happy to negotiate making this video exactly what Immortal Technique/Mos Def want. If this was due to Eminem though the Art Ministry has serious problems with Eminems early sexism. Were he not anti-war the Art Ministry would have nothing to do with Eminem. Eminem is redeeming himself and we hope he makes more progress.
